Megan
Meg was diagnosed with NF 1 in 1984 when it was noticed she was bumping into large things. She is now blind in her right eye due to optic glioma, and has limited vision in her left. In 1994 a shunt was implanted to drain excess fluid, and a tumor was removed from her cerebellum.
Ten years later, in 2004, Meg received her Bachelor's degree in Human development, and four years later, a Master's degree in teaching. She now works as a one on one aide with the Baltimore City School system.
